Waiting on God at times could feel like a waste of time, most often because we never rest in the confines of what his word said in the first place. But his word says that those of us who wait upon the lord shall renew our strength, we shall run and not be weary and though we walk we shall not faint. Waiting dear chosen is the place for renewal and often times when someone asks us to wait, there’s works underway that they are sure will produce our desired result. Waiting on God means trusting in him. Waiting on God sometimes means being in a place where the only direction you lean in is his, other times he requires you to do sometimes he requires you to be still and KNOW!
Many moments of weakness are available when in a season of waiting when you are outside the word of God. Many times I’ve heard people argue that a man cannot be scripture (the word of God to them), and I get it. But until you are choking on your screams all by yourself, begging for air in a well ventilated room. Until you are hoping the pain was physical because then it would at least respond to pain medication, when almost all of your world seems to have come to a halt and what’s left standing only reminds you of what could have been in its might.
Then you’ll understand that a human being can be scripture, the bible you have in that moment, this is also to say ”dear chosen, when you have the opportunity represent god , you might just be someone’s manifestation of the word of God” the ones reminding them that it will all work out for your good. Those that will re-evaluate the value of your life with you and remind you it’s worth living, and what you are going through is only but for a moment. When you can’t get the words if prayer out of your mouth and all you can do is weep, then the word of God as a man will grab both your hands and groan fervently in your direction. Waiting means waiting correctly, because other than that you would have been wasting time and nurturing frustration.
Anxieties in the wait sometimes come from shifting your focus from the word of God, from God himself and giving your focus to everything substandard, the worries, the assumptions, the regrets …none of those deserve platform with you. Because as soon as they have your focus they feed anxieties, a friend of God once said that your heart is meant to be a throne of God and not a couch, because a couch accommodates many and a throne only has one.
Ill end in saying, I know many things have happened dear chosen and it looks like you are not making progress in any direction. But god wants you to know it ends in victory, the plea is that you remain in the safety of the presence of God. HE IS THE CONVENANT KEEPING GOD. Don’t spend so much time and energy asking God why things happened to you the way they did, instead ask him how you get through the current season you are standing in.
With Love,
